October 18, 2025 — Life Academy International College, Pasig City, Philippines
The UXPH Mini 2025: Manila event was held on 18 October 2025 as part of a nationwide series of grassroots design conferences organized by User Experience Philippines (UXPH), a leading non‑profit community for UX practitioners and design enthusiasts in the Philippines. The one‑day gathering aimed to bring design conversations, practical learning, and community connection to the Metro Manila design ecosystem.
Hosted at Life Academy International College in Pasig City, the event featured a mix of talks, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities for designers, developers, students, and professionals interested in UX and human‑centered design.
The day began with registration and community mingling, giving attendees a chance to connect before the sessions started. An opening program set the stage for a full slate of design talks and hands‑on workshops.
Workshops at the Manila leg included practical design sessions such as “Inclusive Design of AI Products” led by Francis Bautista, CEO of Indigo Research, which explored strategies for creating AI‑enabled products that serve diverse user groups. Another featured workshop, “Leading Change through Design: A Human‑Centered Approach”, facilitated by Kevin Martin Dela Cruz (External Affairs Officer & Entrepreneurship Academic Lead at Life Academy International College), focused on applying design thinking and empathy to lead impactful solutions. Additionally, hands‑on sessions such as “Ship the Feeling: Building Micro‑Animations in Rive” offered practical UI/UX techniques for enhancing product interactions.
Workshops were structured to be interactive and limited in capacity, encouraging participants to engage directly with facilitators and practice real design methodologies, from inclusive UX approaches to creative problem‑solving and technical skills.
The event concluded with a closing segment, featuring recaps, partner acknowledgements, wrap‑up reflections, and open networking, and provided attendees with encouragement to stay engaged with the UXPH community for future learning and collaboration.
UXPH Mini 2025: Manila highlighted inclusive design strategies, human‑centered methodologies, and community‑based learning, offering a platform for Filipino designers and tech practitioners to connect, share, and grow.
