Kuala Lumpur, 16 October 2025 — The International Blockchain Organisation (Malaysia) (IBO Malaysia) was officially launched recently, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s journey toward blockchain innovation, digital inclusion, and Web3 ecosystem development.
Established as part of a global initiative to foster trust, transparency, and collaboration in blockchain technologies, IBO Malaysia aims to position the country as a regional hub for blockchain research, innovation, and responsible adoption.
Held at the Confetti KL the launch brought together players from the Industry, academia and the blockchain community to witness Malaysia’s next step in digital transformation.

IBO Malaysia will focus on four key pillars:
1. Policy Advocacy
and Regulatory Alignment – Facilitating constructive dialogue with policymakers to promote responsible blockchain adoption.
2. Education and Talent Development – Building blockchain literacy and nurturing the next generation of blockchain professionals through partnerships with universities and training institutions.
3. Industry Collaboration and Innovation – Encouraging use cases in finance, supply chain, healthcare, sustainability, and creative industries.
4. International Engagement – Strengthening Malaysia’s role in the global blockchain network through strategic alliances with international blockchain organisations.
The establishment of IBO Malaysia comes at a time when Malaysia is accelerating its digital transformation agenda. With blockchain poised to redefine trust and value exchange, the organisation seeks to support the government’s vision for a robust, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital economy.
