24–27 June 2025 — ADB Headquarters, Manila, Philippines

The International IT‑BPM Summit (IIS) 2025 opened this week at Okada Manila, convening leaders from the IT‑BPM industry, global analysts, service providers, policymakers, and academic partners to explore how the Philippines can sustain and elevate its role in the global services market amid rapid technological shifts. The summit is organized by the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) under the theme “Rewired for Value: The Global Wake‑Up Call.”

At the opening plenary, Jack Madrid, President and CEO of IBPAP, highlighted the sector’s robust performance and future prospects, noting that the Philippine IT‑BPM industry is projected to generate US $42 billion in revenues and employ nearly 2 million workers by 2026, signaling continued growth and competitiveness on the global stage.

Madrid framed this year’s summit theme as both a challenge and an opportunity for the industry to “rewire for value” by embracing emerging technologies like AI and by enhancing workforce capabilities to meet future demands. He pointed to the increasing integration of agentic and artificial intelligence technologies into business services and customer engagement as a defining trend shaping the industry’s next growth phase.

Discussions throughout the two‑day event focused on how the Philippines can sustain its global edge by shifting from traditional outsourcing toward higher‑value digital services. Panels addressed talent development, operational resilience, and the strategic role of Global Capability Centers (GCCs) — offshore units of multinational firms performing complex functions — which are expected to remain a growth engine for the sector.

The summit also featured insights from international industry analysts and advisors about global market trends, including the impact of automation, data analytics, and next‑generation service models on the future of business process delivery.

In parallel breakout sessions, delegates shared practical frameworks and case studies on adopting digital tools, improving service quality, and leveraging analytics to enhance competitiveness. These sessions underscored the need for coordinated efforts between industry, government, and educational institutions to build future‑ready talent pipelines.

Alongside strategic discussions, IIS 2025 provided networking opportunities that enabled executives, innovators, and policy stakeholders to exchange approaches for strengthening the Philippine IT‑BPM ecosystem and expanding regional collaboration.

The summit’s conversations around AI, digital transformation, talent strategy, and operational excellence offered attendees actionable insights into how to navigate and shape the evolving landscape of global services delivery.
